Paul (Tommy Pistol) is anxious to get back together with his wife Mary – they had a fight and she’s living with another man now, but he literally still dreams about her. In fact, he just woke up from dreaming she had come home to him. But Paul’s life takes a sudden turn when he’s in his car, ready to drive to work, and gets rear-ended. This “meet-cute” results in Paul inviting her to his home for a cup of coffee, as he’s open to life presenting him with a new direction. What’s he got to lose being Mr. Nice Guy to a complete stranger? (Especially an attractive one like Cara.) Soon their conversation turns serious, as Tommy takes the opportunity to pour his heart out about how broken he feels now that his marriage of 15 years is crumbling. As Paul makes clear his heartbreak, Cara is strangely drawn to him, and literally gives him a shoulder to cry on. Later, as she communicates her own personal story, the bond between them grows. As they shake hands to part, Paul makes a novel offer: could she become his personal assistant, with free room and board to live at his place? Another hearty handshake seals the deal. SPOILER ALERT: One morning after having moved into his home, Cara goes to Paul’s bedroom while he’s fast asleep and answers his cell phone, telling Mary that he’s through with her and to stop calling him.
